In honor of her birthday, Ms, Kissey Asplund has generously offered up a couple of simple tracks she did when she was 19. Turns out they are the last songs she did before deciding she wanted to be a full-time painter instead of a musician. Good thing she finally decided to get back to music.
So this track is a little more jazzy than what you usually that you find here, but I’m totally in love with it. One of my fabulous picks that I grabbed over at Amoeba, along with Passion Pit (fav album right now) and Matt and Kim. A native of Canada, Mocky boasts producer credits for the likes of Jaime Lidell as well as Feist, so I’m sure you have heard his influence before.
