Ummmm yes…Yelle is back! Nice to finally hear something from new from my favorite Parissienne. Commissioned by iTunes and their new Foreign Exchange series (wonder if Phonte and Nicolay have anything to say about that?), the song is a cover of Swedish pop sensation Robyn’s “Who’s That Girl”. Just needed something to help me relax today, and this Blind Pilot track hit the spot. Reminds me a bit of one of my favorite singer-songwriters, Sondre Lerche.
I had never heard of the The Rest, but I’m glad their upcoming sophomore release, Everyone All At Once, found it’s way to my inbox. An album composed of dreamy and melancholic pop songs, perfectly laced with just the right amount of falsetto, it’s hard to ignore the hypnotizing effect it has on you.
