Mos Def “The Ecstatic”

If you haven’t taken a listen to Mos Def‘s new album The Ecstatic, you should. It will leave you just as the title intends…ecstatic. It’s been a long time coming, that is with the release dates being set back time, and time again, but I must say it was well worth the wait. This album dishes up more of that old school Mos that I fell in love with, funky, thoughtful, and just plain groovy. It’s been on heavy rotation for the past couple days, and with production from Madlib, Oh No, and the late great J Dilla, what do you expect?. You can stream the whole album over at Spinner.
