Lealea Jones knows ‘One Thing Bout Music’

After a long weekend there is nothing better than starting off the week with some fresh new music. It’s been awhile since I have really found an R&B artist to peak my interest, but newcomer Lealea Jones is just what I have been waiting for. This Soul and R&B influenced singer/songwriter although only 21, boasts a sound that is mature beyond her years, which she can partially attribute to the musical household she grew up in. One ‘One thing Bout Music’, she manages to produces a funky little tune which you find your blasting in your headphones while walking down the street singing (well….at least I do). Switching it up, ‘Oh My’ provides the perfect easy listening for those lazy rainy days.
Jones has already proven her ability to contend with more established artists by stepping up and sharing the stage with the likes of Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Amy Winehouse. She also garnered the opportunity to play the Google Afterparty at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, where she performed for an audience that included Bono of U2, and Peter Gabriel. With a tour of Asia in the works alongside Mos Def, you can expect to hear much more from Lealea Jones in the future, and rightfully so.

Just wondering if you’ve ever heard of Yael Naim? A friend of mine told me about her the other day. I’d like to hear your thoughts if you have. If you haven’t, maybe you should check her out!
Hope you’re enjoyin’ yourself over there. Would like to be in Europe at the moment but everything is fantastic in BK. Can’t wait to see you in March!

I have enjoyed lea lea jones sound on her new single cake so much that on this sunday afternoon whilst repairing the house I put it on replay. great track thanks lea lea and many more to follow I am sure.
