Yesterdays post reminded me of how much I love instrumental tracks, especially how much I loved GB’s album “Soundtrack for Sunrise”. Although not entirely instrumental this album is crazy, with artists like Steve Spacek, Joy Jones and Ricci Rucker featured on the CD you can’t go wrong. I’m pretty sure I had this CD on repeat everyday when it was released in 2004. Unfortunately GB seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Except for a cameo on J*Davey’s “Cowboys and Indians”, and I believe one part of the duo that is Polyspectra alongside Ricci Rucker, he hasn’t been around much. I’m hoping he is working on something new because I am long overdue for some new GB. If you don’t have this album already I would definitely pick it up right now.
